1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website, placing an order, or purchasing any product from CALO by Alicia ("CALO," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or place an order.

Age requirement: You must be at least 18 years of age, or have the involvement of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf, to place an order.

Right to refuse or cancel: We reserve the right to refuse service, decline, or cancel any order at our sole discretion for any lawful reason — including suspected fraud, abusive conduct, payment problems, pricing or listing errors, or stock that is no longer available. If we cancel an order you have already paid for, your sole remedy is a refund of the amount paid for that order.

Pricing & listing errors: We work hard to keep prices and descriptions accurate, but errors happen. We reserve the right to correct any pricing or listing error at any time, even after an order has been placed, and you are not entitled to receive an item at an incorrect price.

2. Our Products — Handcrafted, Curated & Pre-Loved

CALO offers new handcrafted jewelry, curated new jewelry, and pre-loved (previously owned) pieces. Because much of what we sell is handmade or one-of-a-kind, slight variations in color, finish, size, stone, and appearance are normal and are not defects.

Photos & descriptions: We photograph our pieces as accurately as we can, but screens, lighting, and settings vary. Actual color and scale may differ slightly from the images.

Pre-loved pieces are sold as-is. Pre-loved items are inspected and described honestly, including any noted wear, but they are pre-owned and are sold in their current condition with no warranty of any kind. Please read the listing and view all photos before purchasing.

Materials & sensitivities: Unless a listing specifically states otherwise, pieces should not be assumed to be solid gold, sterling silver, or hypoallergenic. If you have a known metal allergy or sensitivity (such as to nickel), please reach out before ordering. CALO is not responsible for skin reactions or allergic responses to any material.

3. Orders & Payment

Submitting an order is an offer to purchase; no contract exists until we accept and fulfill the order. Payment is processed through our third-party payment provider, and you agree to that provider's terms. You are responsible for providing accurate billing, contact, and shipping information.

All prices are in U.S. dollars. Applicable sales tax is added where required. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon our delivery of the item to the carrier (for shipped orders) or to you (for local pickup).

4. Shipping & Local Pickup

Estimated processing and shipping times are estimates only and are not guaranteed. Once an order is handed to the carrier, delivery timing and handling are outside our control. CALO is not responsible for carrier delays, misdelivery, or packages lost or stolen after delivery is confirmed by the carrier. Please make sure your shipping address is correct — we are not responsible for orders sent to an address you provided incorrectly.

5. Returns & Exchanges

We want you to love your piece. Because of the nature of jewelry and hygiene, the following apply:

• Pierced earrings are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged for hygiene reasons.
• Pre-loved, sale, and custom or personalized pieces are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange.
• Damaged in transit: If a piece arrives damaged, contact us at hello@calobyalicia.com within 3 days of delivery, with photos. We will work with you in good faith to make it right.
• Any other return or exchange is at CALO's sole discretion. Approved returns must be unworn, in original condition, and the customer is responsible for return shipping. We do not refund original shipping charges.

Routine tarnishing, everyday wear, or damage from improper care, water exposure, or accidents is not covered.

6. Jewelry Care

Jewelry is delicate. To keep your piece looking its best, keep it away from water, perfume, lotion, and chemicals; remove it before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping; and store it dry. Plated and fashion pieces will naturally wear and may change color over time. Following these guidelines is your responsibility, and failure to do so is not a defect.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including the CALO by Alicia name, logo, photography, product descriptions, and design — is the property of CALO by Alicia and is protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, resell, or use any of it without our written permission.

8. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

All products are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent allowed by law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CALO by Alicia's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to a product or order is limited to the amount you actually paid for that product or order. CALO is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to skin reactions, lost profits, or property damage. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CALO by Alicia and its owner from any claims, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising out of your use of this website, your purchase or use of our products, or your violation of these Terms.

10. Privacy

We respect your privacy. We collect only the information needed to process your orders and communicate with you, and we never sell your personal information. We share information only with the service providers needed to fulfill your order (such as our payment processor and shipping carrier) or as required by law.

11. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your purchase will be resolved through binding individual arbitration in Texas, on an individual basis only — you waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action. If arbitration is found unenforceable, the dispute will be heard exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas.

12. Changes & Electronic Communications

We may update these Terms at any time; the version posted here governs your use of the site and any order you place. By using this site or ordering, you consent to receive communications from us electronically. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Miscellaneous

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and CALO by Alicia regarding your use of this site and your orders. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.
